“The spirit shrieked, convulsed him violently and came out. The boy looked so much like a corpse that many said ‘he is dead’. But Jesus took him by the hand and lifted him to his feet and he stood up” [Mark 9:26 ].
The evil spirit had always thrown the boy down, making him look as though dead, it had always thrown him into the fire to harm him to death or into the water to drown him to death, and when Jesus appeared on the scene to help the little lad, out of the scene, something happened as Jesus rebuked the evil spirit that had always tormented the boy, he (the boy) fell to the ground and experienced the same convulsion like never before – meaning that, each time it appears your oppression mounts like never before, then, know that your deliverance is come, know that it is your season to manifest.
That you saw the same symptoms of oppression like you had always seen before does not mean that God is not attending to your case. When Jesus was rebuking the evil spirit in the boy as He attended to the boy’s case, he (the boy) experienced like never before, the same form of symptom he had always experienced. But thank God, Jesus the same yesterday, today and forever more, that is to say; God cannot be affected by symptoms.
Symptoms don’t determine His direction, for HE is forever the same.
Sign and wonders are not subject to symptoms, for God cannot be subjected to symptoms. God is a God of signs and wonders, and so, He is not a respecter of symptoms. The symptoms do not stop the signs from working. Irrespective of the symptoms, the sign would always prove itself by the power of the Holy Ghost.
The Bible made us to understand that, the boy looked so much like a corpse that many said he was dead, and after they had called him dead, Jesus walked up to him and took him (the boy) by the hand.
God knows when best to take you by the hand! After everyone had concluded that the he (the lad) was dead, Jesus walked up to him and took him by the hand. They called the little lad dead, though he was not dead.
Many might have called you barren, but you aren’t barren, for nothing created of God is barren. Hannah was not barren but her rival (her husband’s wife, whose name was Peninah) called her barren and God took Hannah by the hand and gave her children upon children, for the Bible tells us that “The Lord was gracious to Hannah; she conceived and gave birth to three sons and two daughters” [1 Samuel 2: 21].
While Peninah was busy mocking Hannah, she (peninah) was unaware of the fact that; God was working behind the scene– making Hannah.
When men are busy MOCKING you, God is busy MAKING you.
God knows when to take you by the hand. In the midst of your challenges, people might to call you poor thinking you would never get out of poverty or debt, but after they might have called you all manner of names, God will take you by the hand and show them that He is still your Father– The All-Sufficient One.
The multitude said he (the boy) was dead, meaning that: they had closed his chapter, but God took him by the hand and opened a better chapter for him.
Each time God allows men to close your chapter, know that HE is about to open a better chapter for you. When they said the little boy was dead, they were ‘correct’ because the lad was dead to affliction and oppression of the devil.
‘After the lad fell like a corpse’ simply means that, the devil dropped him, but Jesus went after him and picked him up, taking him by the hand, for God is interested in you even when you appear dead, even when men had ‘dropped’ you, erroneously concluding that you are ‘dead’ and ‘finished’.
The Conclusion of the Matter:-
So Brethren, don’t give up on God. He knows when to take you by the hand bringing to pass His prophecies, His promised healing, promotion, open doors and restoration upon your life just as He might have showed you or prophesied to you in the years gone by. Don’t let the challenges, the symptoms and the ‘battles’ around you determine the direction of your faith in God. “Warfare always surrounds the birth of a miracle”.
Jehovah knows when to take you by the hand…Continue to keep your faith high!
One thing is clear; for those who have put their hope and trust in God, God will always take them by the hand and make all things beautiful for them in His own time in keeping with His Word in Ecclesiastes 3:11.
We pray with you in Jesus’ Name that; God Who is the Unseen Hand that brings everything to pass in the lives of men will make ALL things beautiful for you in His own time. Amen & Amen.
