and understands your loss,
for He parted from His son
to watch Him die on the cross.
Imagine sending Jesus to earth
for years of rejection.
God’s horrific agony only to end
with Christ’s resurrection.
But, now, there’s joy for the Father,
for His Son’s work has been done.
The torment was endured,
and Heaven for us won.
Your beloved is also now free,
from all earthy heartache and pain.
And although your beloved seems so far away,
the time to reunite forever you will gain.
Someday we too can be free of life’s pain,
and be face-to-face with our dearly missed Brethren.
Yes, we’ll experience God’s infinite glory,
the perfect reality: Christ’s gift of Heaven.
