I walked outside and saw the haze
there was smoke filling the air,
and from that, I knew for sure
there is a fire burning somewhere.
I look in the garden so green
at the plants growing there,
and know that in just a little while
each one its fruit will bear.
I awake to see the light outside
flooding the world anew
and know that there is a brand new day
to tell how much I LOVE YOU!
All these things do happen,
we know God is always there
and He's the One who makes it all happen
it is all under His care!
The smoke will clear, the air will be fresh,
for the wind obeys God's command;
the garden's bounty is all created
by the smallest wave of His hand.
And love is the gift God gave
to fill our hearts, be deep and true,
and oh, how much I do thank Him
for giving me to you!
The joy there is in every morning
is a wonder to me, and I know
that God's hand has given it all
from heaven's bounty it all flows!
Thankful words escape my lips,
a prayer so heartfelt and true,
that I rejoice in one more day
to show how much I LOVE YOU!!
