"Spread the corner of your garment over me, since you are a kinsman redeemer." Ruth 3:9 This verse is so significant, because it symbolises the boldness in which we can go to the Lord. Ruth was a foreigner and socially, she was below Boaz, yet, she found favor in his eyes, and was able to approach him boldly. We are below God, and because of the seperation due to our sins,(and the Moabites had a lot of problems!!!), we are not worthy to be in the presence of the Lord. But because He is Redeemer we are His kin, He is the kinsman, we are bound by blood, not our own, but by His sons. Ruth had favor with Boaz, not because of her own bloodline, but that of Naomi's, whom she close to follow. Ruth was welcomed as one of God's people because of her faith. The same can be said of us today, as believers in Jesus. He spreads His garment over us, just as Boaz did with Ruth, and welcomes us as His family, His people! "May you be richly rewarded by the Lord, the God of Israel, under whose wings you have come to take refuge."Ruth 2:12
