Admit it, we are all messed up, we couldn't change ourselves if we tried. We don't have the capacity to change our hearts and thought process without outside intervention. God knows that we have deep seeded issues that prevent us from turning down the ways of this world. Knowing this the Lord has provided us grace unto salvation. Only because He loves us and desires to save us, does He open His arms to us. I sometimes think that we fail to realize that we can do nothing apart from God. Even as we lived in sin the Lord continued to open doors to salvation. Once we have choosen to walk through the door of salvation which grace has provided, our salvation is free. In no way do we deserve what God has offered and willing gives. Ephesians 2:1-6 And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now workety in the children of disobedience: Among who also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of flesh, fulfillng the desires of the flesh and the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others. But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved); And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. I often pray, that the Lord will continue to provide grace in my life, since I can never earn by my works, what He has already done.
