Are you blessed?
Have you counted all your blessings lately?
You had nothing to do with the blood coursing through your veins this morning; many people died last night. You had nothing to do with waking up as an American today and nothing to do with being born here, privileged with all the freedoms we have. We complain about the cost of gas but we have the blessing of owning cars! Many do not have that privilege. Health, jobs, freedom, rights, homes...in most cases, we are wealthier than the majority of planet Earth - even at our worst.
Personally, I know what it's like to be totally alone, abandoned by friends, rejected by relatives. I have experienced poverty, unemployment, losing everything - and everyone - that meant the most to me. I have experienced incurable disease, children gone astray and attacks against my character and ministry. Yet, when I count my blessings, these things pale in comparison. I have learned that it's in the valley that the fruit can be found. NOT on the mountaintop. Have you learned that lesson? I hope so.
One of the greatest secrets that I am about to share with you, will serve you well all your life if you will take ownership of this truth. Ready? Here it is: in order to find the wonderful life you desire, you've got to LOSE the one you have. Jesus said, Matthew 8:35, "...whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me and for the gospel will save it." There it is. It's what you were created to do. Resistance is futile. Plain silly. If you aren't driven by a heartfelt Kingdom agenda... if all that motivates you is meeting your rent or paying the electric bill...if your joy rises and falls with your bank account balance...you're completely missing the point of life. If you desire unspeakable joy and a peace that passes all understanding, the answer
is not of this Earth.
Here's some Good News: "For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin." We are a Kingdom of Priests and Kings. Yes, that includes YOU. A priest represents the people before God, standing on behalf of those he loves; family, friends, community, a nation. We Priests have a High Priest (Jesus). He was one of us. He said He came as an example and He blessed multitudes with that with which He was empowered to give. In fact, He blessed the world forever. He gave and He
imparted. Then He said (Jn 14:12), "I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, if anyone steadfastly believes in Me, he will himself be able to do the things that I do; and he will do even greater things than these, because I go to the Father."
Whether you receive a healing at a massive revival meeting, are encouraged by a friend at the water cooler, or receive an eMail message that motivates you, the WORST thing you can do is to keep that blessing to yourself. After all, you've been blessed to be a blessing. Just like Jesus Himself.
Now, go bless somebody! It's what you were born to do. Pray each day for that Divine appointment and be on the
lookout for that person/people God will send your way.

Michael, I completly connected to what the Lord was saying through you. I was encouraged once again by your testimony about your path from brokeness. I too can completly relate to similar trials and yet through them I stand before the Lord knowing what I never would have known unless I had gone through those places. Thank you, it is good to be reminded that if His presence isnt with us, than where are we going or better why even bother?
Thank you for sharing this. It so very true.
