Tonight I saw a side of you,
as someone whom I never knew.
Tonight I saw another side of me.
There you stood on centre stage,
immersed within the part you played.
Tonight I shed a tear you couldn't see.
As I was feeling some regret,
for all those years I missed, and yet,
tonight the past proved insignificant.
There you stood on centre stage,
immersed within the part you played,
and what I felt was just magnificent!
Your fans I met, who stood in awe,
another side of you, I saw,
then said a silent prayer to God above.
On looking back, it's plain to see,
much more than pride emerged from me,
Tonight I saw another side of love.

Veronica, I really like the story you have told in this piece. Well done; it's good to see you are continuing to write. On a matter of choice, i prefer to see each line of poetry starting with a capital letter, even if part way through a sentence. Have you read any of Jude Hope's work?
