Why is it that we hold on to the past when God gives us a new future? Can we not understand that God has put that behind us. Yes, we screwed up and yes, we were living like the walking dead. God states that if you have indeed turned your life over to Jesus Christ you are not bound by your past anymore. Life is too short for us to continue reminding God of how bad we used to be. Let's just be thankful that He saved us from that darkness. 2 Corintians 5:17-18 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. And all things are of God who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation. I know it is hard for us to forget our past but we must find victory in our future. The world will continue to try to condemn you for what you used to be. But let the new light that shines in you cancel out their out dated views concerning you.
