Glance in the rearview mirror. Curse the eyes that pierce your's. They're full of fear and misplaced emotion. You don't recognize her.
Don't freak out.
Inhale. Exhale. Inhale. Grip the steering wheel. Press the gas. Exhale. Stop abruptly at the stop sign. Screech out. Inhale. White knuckles. Hold your breath. Who are you. It's more a statement than a question. What the heck is wrong with me? Love and fear cannot coexist. Know it's truth.
It has to be.
Drive faster. Sudden anxiety superceeds all other emotion and thought. It permeates your mind and shuts out every other concious awareness. You are landlord to a ghost--an intanglible, unequivical emotion that is no more worthy of your time than a fantom, and yet you allow its residence to continue. It's unstoppable. Unapproachable. Undeniable.
You seek validation. Proof that you don't have to be afraid. Proof that you believe in this. Surmmize that the moment of acceptance will cast away harbored fear.
You press in harder, longer; your body closer. You shut your mind to the hauting whispers and exist soley in the present. Lips part. Fingers mesh.
Perfect love casts out all fear.
