Yes, I'm talking to you. If you are a believer would you please stand up.
Stand up right now. Not later. Not when it is more convenient. Not just when you are pressured. Not just when you are trying to prove your own point of view. Not just when you are amidst many other believers.
But, take a stand, and let others know that you believe.
"Believe what," you say?
That is a very interesting question. In fact, that is the question above all other questions to be asked and answered.
But the simple answer is ... Believe God.
Believe in God. Believe in the power of God.
Very plain, very simple, very irrational, very underestimated, and very irreverent toward the world that we abide in.
To believe and keep believing irregardless of the odds that may arise against you, or the pressure that may abound, or the doomsayers that may vie for your attention, or the fanatic fantasy diversionettes that may distract you or persuade you, or the what evers that may come your way.
Simply to believe.
Believe that God is the power source for the whole universe. Believe God beyond your own understanding or man kinds religious and nonreligious intelligence. Believe God is and always has been the power source for this world. Believe that God recognizes you in this world along with everyone else.
Taking yet another step, believing when all else logically tells you not to believe.
"Is that possible," you say?
Yes. Totally possible.
That takes God power. God understanding. God willingness.
Whether or not all of this effects you; have you ever considered that just because you believe or do not believe ... that it really does not affect God. Have you considered that your beliefs do not diminish God or uphold God. The simple reality; God is, whether anyone believes or not.
Interesting, to say the least.
The times we live in call for such a stand. A stepping up or stepping down. Depending on where you are.
It seems while global borders are sinking into quagmires an insipid homogenized population of mass social lethargy is raising up at the same time. Social orders are becoming social disorders on every level. Infrastructures on all continents are in morbid decay, inside and outside. Even with all the degreed intelligence of mankind put together, nations and lives therein are falling apart right in front of our eyesight everyday. Yet we voyeuristically view and interact in our worlds with instant communications and technologies that are disarming us in alarming speed. As we hasten toward the proverbial cliff edge of destruction like lemmings, will we perchance frantically throw a spiteful glance toward heaven's way? Or will we pathetically without mind, soul, or spirit, allow the throng of indifference throw us head long over the edge to our demise?
I like the topic. It presupposes a search through the rubble of what goes for western Christianity, laced with poor business ethics, low regard for the impoverished and a complete disdain for God's word as applied to everyday life.
I think it would be strengthened with an example of a Christian who did stand up, to demonstrate its real meaning, and maybe a couple more illustrations to capture the heart of the reader.
There are a couple of word and grammatical errors such as 'irregardless'.
Your topic is "right on". Keep on writing colourfully to pack a punch. Use this to further develop your subject as a commanding piece.
