In my silent times, Lord,
I am so glad
that You are there listening . . .
and that Your Listening
is tuned to my silence.
Thank You for Listening-Love
that allows me to come to You
“just as I am” –
unmasked,
undisguised,
and exposed . . .
like now,
in this silent time,
when I am too full
of thoughts
and feelings
and things . . .
when the mind and heart
and soul of me
runs aimless
without any definite expression
of what is inside of me.
Thank You for Listening-Love
In my silence.
For in Your Love,
I can open up
and come out of me.
In Your Love,
I can push “me”
out of the way,
allowing You to come in
and take over,
permitting You
to have Your Way,
consenting to make Your Will
my own . . .
