This continues my series of articles on the Constitution's prohibiting Americans to vote for the President of the United States.
Why are you voting for the President?
“Because I like the way he dances.” That’s why Americans cannot vote for the President.
“Because there are too many illegal in this country.” That’s why Americans cannot vote for the President.
“Because she is a women.” That’s why Americans cannot vote for the President.
“Because he is black.” That’s why Americans cannot vote for the President.
“Because my grandparents like him/her.” That’s why Americans cannot vote for the President.
“I just want change.” That’s why Americans cannot vote for the President.
“He/she will fix our economy.” That’s why Americans cannot vote for the President.
“We need higher taxes on Corporations.” That’s why Americans cannot vote for the President.
“Because I want the government to do something for me.” That’s why Americans cannot vote for the President.
“Because I hate Bush.” That’s why Americans cannot vote for the President.
“I always vote Democratic.” That’s why Americans cannot vote for the President.
“I always vote Republican.” That’s why Americans cannot vote for the President.
“He/She looks handsome/pretty.” That’s why Americans cannot vote for the President.
“I’ve heard a lot about them.” That’s why Americans cannot vote for the President.
“Anybody but Bush.” That’s why Americans cannot vote for the President.
“Because she is emotional.” That’s why Americans cannot vote for the President.
These are some of the reasons why the Founding Fathers did not give the general population of Americans the right to vote for the President or the Vice President. They were not well education; did not know the individuals moral character and did not investigate if they were fit to hold the positions of President and Vice President.
