The Broken Vessel

A beautiful clay vessel proudly displayed on the top shelf
suddenly falls and crashes to the floor
shattering into a million pieces
scattering hither and yon.

No hope for this fallen piece
that was once priceless
now worthless
ready to be thrown away
and forgotten.

The potter came and carefully scooped up the broken shards
lovingly piecing them together
making it whole
and useful once again.

Then He
gently placed the restored vessel
back on the shelf
to be used for His good purpose.

Beautiful poem, only He could take our brokeness and put us together in that special way. Having been touched by the Master Potter, how valuable we now are!
