Walk with Me

Walk with Me, talk with Me
I long for a closer relationship with you
Stroll with Me, listen to Me
I will reveal my love that is eternally true

Tread with Me, speak with Me
My heart longs to hold you close in My arms
Step with Me, and hear Me
Under my wings, I will keep you from harms

Walk with Me, talk with Me
In the cool of the day, together in My garden
Stroll with Me, listen to Me
Tenderly, gently so that your heart will not harden

Tread with Me, speak with Me
Intimacy is what I long for, to be near
Step with Me, and hear Me
So your eyes may see and your ears may hear

Side by side, just you and Me
Together we walk as Father and son
I Am the groom and you my bride to be
All are invited into this relationship with the Holy One

Brothers and Sisters,

I was moved by Joyce Pool’s “My Very Own Vineyard” and was inspired to write this to share. God calls us into an intimate relationship with Him. Jesus calls us His bride. How much more personal and intimate can you get. We are to fear the Lord and be reverent for He is holy, but we are also called into intimacy with Him.

When I think of being in the Lord’s manifest presence I don’t know how it will be. “I Can Only Image” comes to mind by Mercy Me. I don’t know how it will be. I know the reverence when I feel the Spirit guiding me or when I feel God is near, but I also feel that closeness and intimacy. God walked in the garden with Adam and Eve. They worshipped Him with fellowship and love.

I think (and this is just an opinion) God wants that type of relationship with us. Both types of worship are revealed in Scripture, but something that jumps out at me is in Revelation 4. When John describes Heaven, we see that there are angels that are constantly singing praising (as they were created to do), yet we see the 24 elders in their thrones then they fall before the Lord in praise and worship. There are two different types of worship from this. Sitting in the presence of God and falling before God in worship. I think we should follow suit. The Holy Spirit will guide us when to fall to our face in worship and when we should walk with Him.

God wants to hold you close and he wants your love. Walk with Him and talk with Him.

In Christ,

If you died today, are you absolutely certain that you would go to heaven? You can be! TRUST JESUS NOW

I don't know how many times I have envisioned a grin come across the Lord's Face as I have ventured close and pondered before Him a nagging question of life. Oh, if we will but ask, He will unfold before us the many mysteries of Heaven. After the "unfolding" takes place and being so overwhelmed by His majesty, I always find myself falling to my knees before His Throne revering and worshipping my God. The two go hand-in-hand. I have no doubt our God wants us to know Him intimately; as He knows us. Great job, Chrisitan. The Lord has blessed us today through your faithful service. Jody

Hello Christian. Good to hear from you again. I love the way you end this poem: "God wants to hold you close and he wants your love. Walk with Him and talk with Him."..It climaxes the intimacy that you are describing. Thanks for sharing....Helen

Second comment: Thanks for the comment you put on my "Discussion With Casey and Helen." What you said was the way I have often felt. I hope so, but when we get to be with Jesus, all human thoughts will cease....God bless you as you continue to Walk and Talk with Jesus....Helen
