“When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, “Now go out where it is deeper and let down your nets and you will catch a lot of fish!” (Luke 5:4) The Living Bible
Jesus recruited fishermen on this day to launch his ministry. Telling the fishermen to go deeper for abundance mirrored Jesus’ ministry actions. When they went deeper in the natural, they were supernaturally blessed. Jesus was also asking them to go deeper with Him in ministry.
For them it meant to abandon everything they knew and depended on. They began a learning curve on that day which never stopped. Their first steps of faith required that they believe in the words that Jesus spoke.
Believing in God’s Word is also our first steps of faith for doing so will produce more of it (faith). We are just like these fishermen that by faith cast their nets when experience told them differently. The things that God tells us to do will probably have no logic and seem impossible; however, He will honor whatever word He speaks.
PRAYER
Father, may we believe that you will speak and may we be faithful in our actions to move forward. Help us to trust what you speak because you always have abundance in mind. Amen.

you are so right about our actions not making sense to our experience when following God. We cannot stay at the same level of faith and expect different results. thank you.
