The Eternal Shepard
never sleeps
Always tending
His sheep
in the pastures
of this world
No journey too far
for Him to find
a lost and hurting lamb of God
He waits on the injured
nursing them back
to join the flock
of His righteousness
His careful eye
detecting those that stray
Leaving behind the ninety-nine
He chases after His lone sheep
that has lost its way
The shepard's eyes
are gentle
as He sits beside the cool waters
of despair and longing
coaxing His meandering child
back to the flock
His grace is sufficient
His burden is light
