A Bible Study Lesson

I have a riddle, it goes like this: What can make a blind man see, a deaf man hear and everybody needs it? Before you read on, stop and think a minute to allow you to guess the answer.

Times up. The answer is, understanding. Without understanding one is blinded and deaf to the things of God. They have no knowledge or understanding of what Godís words mean and therefore Godís word appears foolish to them.

Without understanding, you canít hear what the Spirit of the Lord is saying. The entrance of Godís word giveth light (Psalms 119:130).

With God and good understanding, you can see even though you may be physically blinded. Spiritual blindness is worse than being physically blinded and the same with being spiritually deaf. Not to be able to hear and understand the things of God is a kind of deafness and darkness.

Below are Bible Scriptures to help you grow in the knowledge of God and good understanding.

The scriptures are given to you to seek and fill in the blank spaces. Scriptures taken from the King James Bible.

Spiritual understanding is a revelation of God and his truth given to man that seeks for God with all of his heart. It is written, seek and ye shall find, knock and the door shall be opened. The door of understanding. The mysteries of Christ. The wisdom of the holy.

The Lord loved us so much with a passion that he willingly gave his life for us that we may know him and his great love. How do you get to know and love someone? You pursue them, meet with them, talk with them, spend time with them, find out all you can about them and what it takes to please them.

Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is no different. He desires a personal relationship with each and every one of us who is willing to know him. He can take you to pleasures and heights that you have never known. There is a place in him that is full of joy, peace, rest, contentment. comfort, protection and so much more waiting to be given to you freely.

There is a scripture in the Bible that says taste and see that the Lord is good. The bible is known to be the very word of God, and also called bread from heaven. Take it, eat it by reading it allowing it to get inside you and let it change you by obeying it. Meditate on it and think on it so that you could be born again into his image.

I pray that this study has been a blessing to you. May God bless you and keep you.
