I’m so tired of fighting
Cancer tries to steal my life
Yet still, I just want to live
I can’t give up yet
I have so much to give
For the cause of Christ
Because He gives me the words
And as a writer I have to be vigilant
Ready to pen inspiring thoughts
Without hesitation, just yielding
To the Holy Spirit’s prompting
For there are those who haven’t heard
Or haven’t acknowledged the truth
Jesus Christ is real, is alive
Offering freely eternal life
May everyone called to write
Answer the call
And continue the fight
With words divinely given
You will receive your rewards
In heaven, and so will I.
