Anty Wanty sat up on his tiny grass bed and stretched out his six little feet one by one. “Ahhh, I slept good” he sighed. “I wonder what I should do today,” Anty thought to himself. Just then, Anty heard a loud voice rumble from Heaven and Anty knew it was God. God told Anty He was not happy with the bugs that lived in Buggy Ville because they were doing bad things and not obeying Him. God then told Anty that he was going to send a BIG flood to wash out Buggy Ville.

Anty begged God to save him and his Wanty family. God felt bad for Anty Wanty and said “I know you love me and obey me Anty, so I want you to build a big boat and put your family and two of every bug on it When Buggy Ville floods , you will all be saved. “ Anty fell to his six knees and thanked God.

Anty climbed out of his ant hole and ran to the woods to get started on his big boat. Anty collected leaves, sticks and a special glue to build his boat.

Anty then brought all the leaves, sticks and the sticky glue in front of his ant hole and began to build the boat. Anty put the leaves at the bottom, put the sticks on the side of the boat, and glued them together with the sticky glue that smelled like watermelon. Anty once heard a human call it bubble gum. Every ant in Buggy Ville used it to glue things together. Many bugs from Buggy Ville walked by and stared at Anty, and wondered what he was doing.

Catty Watty, a caterpillar, asked Anty what he was doing and all the other bugs gathered around to hear what Anty would say. Anty then told them that God was going to send a HUGE flood to wipe out Buggy Vill. Anty explained that God was unhappy with every bug because nobody obeys Him, but that God told him to build a boat so he and his family could be saved.

All the bugs began laughing wildly and making fun of Anty. Shy Fly said “Yeah right, I don’t know who you were hearing but that cannot happen. It has not rained that bad in Buggy Ville for years!” Then all the bugs walked away laughing. Anty did not care what they said because he believed God above every bug and knew that God would flood Buggy Ville, just as He said He would.

Anty worked on his boat every day while all the other bugs walked by and laughed at him. They especially thought it was funny when one day Anty accidentally glued one of his six legs to the boat. Anty did not even realize he had done this because he was so busy using all his six legs at once. When he went to reach for another stick he flew back to the boat screaming, “Whoaaa.” Anty tried to pull his leg out, but the more he pulled it the bigger the glue would bubble up.

Finally, Anty’s little sister ran over to Anty and popped the bubble with her tiny sharp toenail. When the bubble popped, Anty flew across the boat and landed on the dirt near his ant hole—head first. Anty quickly got up to shake off the dirt from his legs but then his front leg got stuck to the leg that still had sticky glue on it. Anty hopped to a puddle nearby on only four of his legs. Finally, he washed the sticky glue from his two legs.

From then on, Anty was extra careful in building his boat, but still worked as fast as he could. Finally, the boat was finished. The boat was very big. Anty stared at it and sighed. He could not believe that he built it.

Anty then began to get two of every bug, as God told him. He put each of them in the boat. Anty put all kinds of different bugs, like flies, spiders, grass hoppers, bumble bees, cockroaches, moths, butterflies and even a lady bug—since the rest were mostly men.

Anty pulled up the leaf to close the door. Immediately, there was a loud thunder. The sound of rain started drumming on the roof of their boat. The rain got louder and louder and soon, they felt their boat floating.

It rained for many, many days and the bugs were all getting tired of being stuck in a small boat together. They had all brought a lot of food on the boat, but the food was quickly disappearing. There was just a half of a French fry left, which Spidey Widey had brought on the boat.

All the bugs were beginning to annoy each other. Especially Spidey, who kept getting mad at Grassy Wassy, the grasshopper, because he kept hopping on her feet. Grassy apologized but said, “I can’t help that you have so many feet!”

One day while they were all bugging each other, they heard a loud squeak. All of a sudden, an AWFUL smell filled the boat. Roachy Woachy confessed, “Woopsey, I guess that fry made me fart!”

All the buggies ran to a small window and stuck their heads out to breathe the fresh yet wet air. They then looked at each other and realized they were all stuck in the window. As they each tried to pull their heads out, they got more and more stuck. Although they smelled fresher air, their faces were getting soaked with the rain.

Anty then had an idea, “Why doesn’t Shy Fly try to move by himself and then we will all come loose.” “Okay, here it goes, 1-2-3” Shy Fly said. Yet, when Shy Fly pulled his head back into the boat, everybuggy fell on the floor—on top of each other. “Whew that was awful, but PEW it still stinks!” they cried.

Spidey then quickly made nose webs to put over everybuggy’s nose so they could not smell Roachy Woachy’s fart.

After many more days, the rain finally stopped, but the boat was still floating on the water. Anty decided to send Bumble Mumble, the bumblebee, outside to see if there was any dry land. Bumble Mumble flew out and hours later came back. He told everybuggy there was dry land straight ahead.

Anty then continued to guide the boat straight ahead. Suddenly, there was a loud THUMP. Everybuggy flew forward. “I stink, I mean, I think we hit dry land!” said Roachy Woachy.

They all ran to the window to put their heads out. However, they stopped right in front of it because they remembered what had happened earlier. Mothy Wothy, the moth, stuck out his head by himself and exclaimed, “It is dry!”

Anty kicked open the leaf door. “HURRAY” they shouted. Every bug ran out of the boat as fast as they could. Anty and Spidey took a little longer to get running since their many legs were still from the long ride.

Anty looked up and saw a beautiful, huge rainbow with several different colors. God spoke and said, “This rainbow is a sign of my promise that it will never flood again.” Anty Wanty fell to his six knees and praised God for being faithful in protecting him from the flood.

From that day on, everybuggy in Buggy Ville prayed to God and obeyed His commands. They also stayed away from Roachy Woachy!
