"In the hour of adversity be not without hope for crystal rain falls from black clouds." Persian poem
Black clouds hover
over my home
Icy winds chill
the very life
from my bones
Weathered by
the storms of life
I shiver
and recoil
into my shell
a hollow existence
that brings fear
and trembling
to a once peaceful heart
My vision is blurred
I cry out
for the darkness to flee
begging the light
to consume me
once again
It is
at that moment
of brokenness and surrender
that He so faithfully sends
His 'crystal rain' to wash away
the darkened state
and shine light anew

I love the picture of His "crystal rain" pouring down and making things new. So many phrases in here that paint a beautiful and vivid picture. Refreshing piece.
