Christians, brothers and sisters trying
to follow the narrow path,
Let us not deceive ourselves
Let us not twist our thinking
into a knot of rebellion
The Spirit is will yet our flesh is weak
There are stumbling blocks
along this road
There are potholes and ditches
that we are called to climb out of
We are not to lie complacent
in the perils of this life
Our dependence and seeking
of Christ builds strong muscles
of obedience and character
The tests that our Lord allows
are for our good
Reaching beyond where we were
We can only pray that His goodness
and grace will intervene and assist
us on our journey to reach the prize
