EXCELLENT, Janice! That first one just killed me--I remember vividly some hideous shades of green in houses where I lived over the years.
And the 2nd one was so poignant and tender. Very well done.
The first one has me laughing! We had a house filled with everything green -- it took us several years to get it all replaced. The second one is very moving.
The second is based on a true story. My mother's mother told her nothing about biological changes in her body and she thought she was dying. Her grandfather comforted her when he explained what had happened was natural and that she was just growing to be a young lady.
But Green is my favorite color! :0)
And the second one, I had to help a younger girl in school who had this same problem. Honestly, I think a lot of young girls think they're dying. Great job on both stories!
