LIFE

Megan stared
At the stain,
Horrified
At this remain.

Acrid stench,
Wailing cry,
Why did you
Have to die?

Tiny child,
Left for dead,
On this rank
Dirty bed.

Suddenly
Hope anew,
Movement seen,
Hey there,you.

GENIUS

Megan stared
At the stain,
Horrified
Deep disdain.

Once again
Naughty child
Disobeyed
Just went wild.

Crayon marks,
Glitter glue,
Shining face,
Something new.

Masterpiece
In her hand
Ocean blue,
Glitter sand.

Vacuum rugs,
Wash the walls,
Proudly hang
In the hall.

These are awesomely done. LOVED them both.

I like both happy endings. I'd love a more detailed picture of what was going on around the first poem. The second reminds me to be prepared to be patient with grandchildren.
Joanney Uthe 21 Mar 2008
Two totally different poems from the same first lines! These are wonderful. Thanks for the hope at the end of the first one.
