Everyone experiences circumstances in life that seem impossible to overcome. We see no way out and no way through. We might as well be facing the Red Sea. No matter what you’re facing today, there’s nothing too difficult for the Lord.
There’s a phrase used many times throughout the Word of God that fills me with faith every time I read it; “But God”! We were separated from God, “but God” reconciled us to Himself through His Son. (See Ephesians 2:4) We were in a hopeless state, but God made a way. He hasn’t changed. He is still in the way making business today.
No matter what we are facing, we have a choice to make. Will we walk by faith in the Word of God or will we walk by what we see in the natural? In 2 Kings, the sixth chapter, a Syrian army had encamped around the city where Elisha and his servant were. Elisha’s servant rose early in the morning and found that the city had been surrounded by horses and chariots. He said to Elisha, “What shall we do?” Elisha replied, “Fear not; for those with us are more than those with them.” Then Elisha prayed that the Lord would open his servants’ eyes so that he could see. When the Lord opened his eyes, the servant saw the mountains full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha. (See 2 Kings 6:14-17)
As long as Elisha’s servant had his eyes on the natural situation and the fact that they were surrounded by the enemy, he was in fear. But fear took flight when his eyes were opened and he could see the hosts of heaven that were on their side.
No matter what our situation looks like in the natural, we can choose to look through the eyes of faith and see the victory that God has for us. Yes, faith has eyes. As we look into the Word of God, we begin to see in the spiritual realm by faith in His Word. As Christians, we are to walk by our eyes of faith and not by what our natural eyes see.
It is certain that we will go through things in this life. But, we serve a God Who never loses a battle. And even for those who have given their lives rather than deny their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, they have won the ultimate victory. The things of this life are temporary. Let us keep our eyes on what is eternal.
I woke up at 3:30am this morning and felt as if I was to get up and begin to write and this is what the Lord put on my heart. So I pray that it brings encouragement to those who may be facing a difficult situation that looks impossible. May you be filled with His peace as you trust Him today.
If you died today, are you absolutely certain that you would go to heaven? You can be! TRUST JESUS NOW

You may not know how badly I needed that encouragement today, BUT GOD did. Thank you for being obedient to write it. Very well done, goes straight to the heart with hope. Thanks.
Sometimes I feel like God
opened up the Red Sea for me -
and, while I was treading
carefully across the sandy
rocks - He sent a bunch a'
sharks after me.
God Bless.
