Written Jul 11 2007 04:09PM The Lord brought to my memory this morning, what our purpose was and still is. Not only to take the gospel to the nations, not only doing our part in helping them to help themselves, but to be be vessels of love. This is so very important in our journey through this space in time. We are not talking about mushy love here but expressing His love as a conduit or vessel. Coming along side them and being an encouragement and praying for them, reaching out with love. It is a beautiful way of loving and worshiping the Lord. For some that may be the only love they will receive. The church in America sees through rose colored glasses. And what they see does not for the most part go beyond America or their own church or their own scope of influence. Evangelist in the church are to be sent into all the world with the gospel. They were placed in the body for no other reason. We need to see how others live that are in third world countries, so that we see there is such a greater need beyond ourselves. It makes me appreciate what I do have which in comparison to what most in America have it isn't much but it is by far greater then those in our mission field and beyond. To me I am blessed beyond measure. This is the royal law to love your neighbor as our selves, and to love God with all of your heart mind and strength. My heart grieves for the church in America, why, why, will they not wake from the slumber the enemy has put upon them, why are they sleep walking into apostasy. All I can do is warn, pray and love them. The church is in love with the world, but the world is passing away and all the things in the world. Jo 2:15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. This is a distraction from the enemy to keep the focus off God's true purposes. "Assuredly I say unto you, In as much as ye have done it unto the least of these my brethren, you have done it unto Me." Those words had been haunting me for this past year, and I have now begun on a journey of love to walk out the heart of God for the widows and orphans, and children that He has told us that we must be like, to enter into His kingdom. We are all on a journey and when we come face to face with the Lord He is going to ask us how much we have loved others. Of course He already knows. Did we live our life for Him and others or for ourselves? You see this journey is all about love, it is about submitting our lives to the Lord so He can live His life, and love through us. We are just vessels and He bought us back at a terrible price, but it was the price of love. He paid the price, and we are not our own. Real love is always a sacrifice, we do not know real love until we have sacrificed ourselves. So what will we have to show for our lives? He cares nothing for the possessions we might have attained. In fact he told the rich young ruler to sell what he had and give to the poor to enter into the kingdom of God. And he went away very sad as he had much riches. You see we cannot take them with us, it is the fruit we will take with us. The fruit of love, the fruit of peace, the fruit of righteousness. What fruit will the Lord see? The Lord began to reveal much to me about love. I realized that I had started a journey to learn to love, and Africa was where I started to begin to reach out to the hurting, to the poor remembering that Jesus had compassion on those who were hungry when He fed them with the loaves and fishes. Jesus has great compassion on the needy be it for physical or spiritual food. In fact it is the needy He looks upon not the proud and haughty who think they have no need. We must see with His eyes, to see the need. We must love through His eyes, through His heart. When we feed the hungry and the thirsty we are doing it unto Jesus. And their heart is open to the Lord's love and the gospel. It is the gospel that must go out into all the world. We just use whatever needs to bring them to Christ. It is pretty hard to listen to someone tell you that God loves you, when you have an empty stomach and live in the streets. Actually if we allow Him, Jesus will do it through us. This is why they are not being cared for, this is why so many are dying without food, without love, without ever hearing the gospel. Too many are not allowing the Lord to live His life through them. We have not made ourself available for his use. If he is living in us there need not be hurting starving people in the world. if we all surrendered and gave Him our hands and feet and mouth as well as our resources to use as His empty vessel, we would see the world saved, loved and fed. Jesus only did what he saw the Father doing, and so it should be with us. If Christ truly lives in us, then we should be doing what He is doing. As a believer if we have not allowed Him to lead us and to live in us and use us, we need to question whether we are surrendered completely to Christ. As a believer we no longer have rights to ourselves. We have no rights, but to submit to His will not ours. We are His hands, His feet, His mouth, and His heart reaching out to the hurting of the world. Even the hurting in the church world wide are being ignored for the most part. Do you realize how many brothers and sisters all over the world are suffering? That do not have enough, that are laying their lives down for the gospel sake and we are not taking notice, we are not praying for them. But there is more to this then feeding hungry bodies or bringing the gospel of peace. Brothers and sisters it means bringing love to the unlovely, the unwanted, the rejected, the out cast. It is one thing not to have food and water not to have a place to live or a family, but to know you are unwanted and that not a soul cares for you is more painful, and makes one very poor indeed. When you go there you see the dirty faces of the hungry abandoned children, that their parents sent out of the house because they could no longer feed their family. They feel unloved and unwanted by anyone, and must fend for themselves in the streets. What a way to live and die totally unwanted unloved and uncared for. You see the Lord sees them and weeps. These are the children we want to reach for Christ, to disciple and give a whole new life. To give them a future and a hope. A life of love is so important to the Lord that He expects us to reach out to them, to love them. When we are born again and have died to our self nature and surrendered our will to Him. He lives in us and through us, and it is through US that He is doing His work. We are to be surrendered to him so He can live out His life in us so these people can be touched with His love. The Lord gives us so many gifts to be used for His kingdom. Sometimes we bury them, or use them for self. But they often sit idle, or misdirected. We are also to help those in the body where ever they are, near or far around the globe. And we are to love, we are to learn to love, so that when we see Him face to face we shall see him as in a mirror. And what will He say to us when we face Him at judgment day? It is up to us, because as a believer our life is not our own. Will we say we had to many things to do, or we had to make a living or we had our own to take care of, we had to buy and sell. We had our own life to live. Isn't that what they said when Jesus invited them to the wedding supper? Do you think this will hold weight with the Lord? What will He have to say at the end of your journey? For me, I want to live out His will for my life to the fullest, and I may not have the resources, but I have His love and faith. I have given this much thought, and I find there is nothing on this earth that I want more then to reach the lost and to touch lives with His love. I believe this is the Lord's will for us. This is something to think about and seek the Lord to fully know that we are in His will day by day. And to ask ourselves if we are being used to love others. Are we a surrendered vessel fit for use? Are we fully His, making Him our portion rather then the world and its "things" Let Him love through us as a sacrifice of love, of worshiping the Lord. This life is a journey to learn Love. 1Jo 3:16 Hereby know we love, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. 1Jo 3:17 But whoso hath the world's goods, and beholdeth his brother in need, and shutteth up his compassion from him, how doth the love of God abide in him? 1Jo 3:18 My Little children, let us not love in word, neither with the tongue; but in deed and truth. And by this we shall know that we are of the truth and our heart does not condemn us. 1Jo 3:20 because if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things. 1Jo 3:21 Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, we have boldness toward God; 1Jo 3:22 and whatsoever we ask we receive of him, because we keep his commandments and do the things that are pleasing in his sight.
