“The Lord of Glory has sent me against the nations that oppressed you, for he who harms you sticks his finger in Jehovah’s eye! And Judah shall be the Lord’s inheritance in the Holy Land, for God shall once more choose to bless Jerusalem” (Zechariah 2:8, 12)
The world may be confused about who has rightful ownership of Israel, but God is very clear on this matter. Other religions attempt to take over a land that never belonged to them. Counterfeit religions try to appear to worship the one and only God; however, they continue to choose dead idols in place of a living God.
As we see the Middle East situation unfold and search prophetic scripture, Christians in every land are bound by the Word of God to support Israel and stand with her as division and hatred is brought to Israel’s borders. God has always called the Jewish people a chosen people and their inheritance of The Promised Land came to them through their founding spiritual father, Abraham (Abram).
As Christians, we can support Israel by praying for its safety, salvation of its people, and the quick return of Jesus Christ. Order and peace will return when Jesus’ foot touches the Mount of Olives. God will notice if Israel is also the apple of our eyes. God always blesses those who understand his heart.
PRAYER
Father, based on Your Holy Word there is no conflict as to who owns the land of Israel, your chosen Jewish people. May we be their brothers and sisters in this hardship they endure. Amen.
