Jesus replied, “Anyone who drinks this water will soon become thirsty again. But those who drink the water I give will never be thirsty again. It becomes a fresh, bubbling spring within them, giving them eternal life.” John 4:13-14
“WOW! A gold nugget! I can't believe I actually found real gold!” Christy shouted.
“That's pretty good for a couple hours of work.” I said with a grin.
It was a victorious moment indeed. Gold mining with my daughter in the frigid waters of the Rogue river was not what I expected it to be, but then again, maybe it was more. I could only think of the priceless nuggets worth far more than gold in God's word. My daughter was looking for answers in waters that can dry up and leave her empty. But there are life-changing answers from the living water that never dry up. God's word fills us to the brim and leaves us overflowing.
I longed for my daughter to see the most valuable nuggets are found in the Bible. I But she has to pan her own way to the truth in her own timing.
The peace, comfort and joy we desperately seek can only be found in rivers of living water.
