I am often inspired by the life of King David, whom God addressed as 'A man according to My own heart'. David always had company with the Lord. When David sinned against God, he could feel the emptiness which comes when you grieve God and thus he prayed in Psalms 51:11 "Do not take the Holy Spirit from me", for David knew that all his blessings came from the Lord God alone.
Christian life has to be always centered in God. We have no other resting place.
"So that he who blesses himself in the earth
Shall bless himself in the God of truth;
And he who swears in the earth
Shall swear by the God of truth;
Because the former troubles are forgotten,
And because they are hidden from My eyes."
God has redeemed us from our former troubles and sins and has given us a new life, a Christ centered life.
Jesus said, we will bear fruit, if we keep ourselves attached to the Vine (John ch. 15:1-11).
So in our studies, work, family, recreation, celebrations, sufferings and in everything, let us have the company of our best Friend, Jesus Christ.
God is exalted and if we walk with Him in all we do, we too will be blessed always.
