Ode to FaithWriters

My online friends are special ones �
I love them, and, they love me, tons!

Each one reflects a faith so true,
Mirrored in what they say and do.

I�ve not seen them - not face-to-face;
You see, we meet in cyber space!

But though we live so far apart,
Love�s bond joins us � true heart-to-heart.

In grace we share belief so strong;
To Christ we all know we belong.

But when it�s time to gab, watch out!
We party on � we twist and shout!

With �private� chats we �message� well,
Or email want we want to tell.

Contacts are made all o�er the board,
Where quips are told and list�ners floored.

A skeptic asked, �That sounds so strange.
Long-distance friends you did arrange?

�Who are these folks? Do you know? WHO?
How many come? Are they quite few?

�And what EXACTLY do you share?
I want to ask, but may I dare?�

I answer thus: �Yes, you may know.
It seems God�s love He did bestow.

�He linked us up on this one site,
So we could share the things we write.

�Our passion? To compose with zeal �
The �challenge� is our real big deal.

�I see myself fit in just swell
With others who have much to tell!

�Through message boards within this guild,
We talk and pray - and friendships build.

�God shapes our hearts to meld and blend,
Because we�re first His close best friend!�

Skeptic grows dark; I see his doubt.
How can this work? He starts to pout.

�What really now, earmarks this crowd?
What binds you all, why are you proud?�

I think real hard, and then reply;
The answer I cannot deny!

�We love the Lord, each other too �
It�s something that we want to do!

�We all live out of the same mode �
�Encourage well' - that is our code.

�When Jesus takes first place, as Lord,
All else seems right, of one accord.

�These faithful folks mirror God�s love �
His kindness, mercy, from above.

�When you�ve seen one, you�ve seen them all �
At FaithWriters we�ve heard His call!

�So� how to spot a FaithWriter?
I�ll tell you how�as an insider.

�That person cares; he�s from a clan
Defined by folks led by one Man.

�He�s guided and inspired by God,
Toward faith and hope � now aren�t you awed?

�That very One is recognized
As everything, in all our eyes.

�The writers on this grand web site
Bask in the love of His great Light.

�Each one adheres to the same aim -
To represent Jesus by name.�

I stop to breathe, after my talk:
Did I truly share our walk?

I realize, from outside-in,
My words might be perceived as dim.

And yet - I long for all to see
How much FaithWriters means to me!

I sigh. �You see, collectively�
The faith of each builds unity.�

Perhaps that says it best of all;
On our web site there�s not one wall!

I stop and grasp a fact so dear �
A cherished truth � so sharp and clear.

Those who know God are also known;
At FaithWriters we�re n�er alone.

Beth, this is absolutely LOVELY - you got me choked up. (You really ARE doing a wonderful job with your couplets, by the way) Was gonna pick a favorite, but there are too many. Hope to see you (IRL!!) soon!
