Five views of the Cross.

She was in turmoil, no one had ever spoken to her like this man, no one made her feel good about herself, but he did. The Son of God, the Messiah, now he was hanging on a cross with two thieves, it had all gone horribly wrong. (47 words)

I wish I had never gone into the place, I should have stayed away like everyone else, and then I wouldn't have disowned him. She was only a girl, but for a moment I knew fear like I had never known. His look; I will never forget his look! (49 words)

"Rub my shoulders boys; that's better, keep watching Jesus. Just to walk with him, to feel his presence, to hear his kind words. I'd do it all over again, I was compelled to carry his cross, but along the way he told me marvellous things, life's going to be different now, keep watching." (53 Words)

"God help us, I know we made sport of him, spat on him, threw dice for his garments, but we never realised who he was. What do you expect of us Romans anyway, how were we to know, it was his own people who wanted him crucified. God be merciful" (50 words)

"They're hiding but I see them all, Father they are so afraid, strengthen them, I can't be with them right now, but remember I have prayed for them. My mother Lord, yes John you take her to your house, take care of her. Now is my time, Father forgive them."

Very nicely done, David. A wonderful idea. ~Blessings, Mary

David, remember the aim of a snapshort - it is to write a short story in 3 sentences and not more than 50 words. So, in other words, each one of these need to be able to stand alone as a story and be clear to your reader. Some of these do just that (though your 3rd attempt is over the 50 word limit), but in others you are taking it for granted that the reader knows the background to your 'views', so the Story - is getting lost. Hope you understand my ramblings!

Powerful use of this form of writing David. Very well done. I particularly liked the one of the man who carried the cross. With love, Deb
