It's funny when you know
you must get up early today
that's exactly when you want the most
under those covers to stay!
And when you know again
you must go out in the cold
that's when you find the very idea
is suddenly ugly and old.
But when I make myself
do what I must do,
suddenly the day grows bright
because I'll be sharing it with you!
Now it opens up possibilities,
it's no longer even a chore,
for as the hours will pass by
I'll get to love you more!
So, get the paper, let in the dog,
grab a cup of coffee fresh and new,
and thank God above for this new day
when I can say again how much I LOVE YOU!!
