SPEAK THE TRUTH AND LET THE DEVIL BE ASHAMED!

I have heard this acronym or should I call it an adage, since I was a little child, I have actually always wondered and pictured in my mind’s eye the devil, sneaking away cowering with a bowed head and his tails between his legs in shame.

Now that I understand it better and see it not just as something to recite in my mind whenever am contemplating whether to speak the truth or not or when one hears it spoken by an adult who is trying to drag some truth out of that child, I realize that this is a very great statement and an important one too, especially in the body of Christ, for humanity to prosper spiritually and regain paradise.

Apostle Paul was fond of emphasizing one point and that is the fact that he spoke the truth and could not do otherwise in his messages and letters to the people he ministered, though he declared that the flesh was always warring against the spirit but so long as we are willing the spirit shall overcome
1 Timothy 2: 7
Colossians 4; 3-4, 18
2 Thessalonians 2:13

I relate this to what is happening in the church of now and I can not just believe that we are of that same root and we share the same doctrine with the people of old because there is so much rancor, rambling, back biting, struggle for power and position (IN CHURCH!!!!), gossip, name calling, name maligning, lust, adultery and idolatry (BELIEVE IT OR NOT!) And so many other sins that apostle Paul and the disciples warned us about and Jesus spoke His word against and we still have the Bible to lean on in times of trouble and confusion.

The apostle Paul made it a point of duty to always remind the body of Christ through his letters to them and those on duty in charge of all the churches, their first duty, which is to stand firm in the faith in truth and righteousness, to stand together as one and to remain unshakeable in times of crisis
Even ministers and leaders of churches are not trustworthy these days and are not regarded as such, in their capacity and position because; they are smoother liars than those outside the fold
THE TRUTH IS FAR AWAY FROM THEM because from the pulpit they only spin the yarn that is acceptable to the funding committee of the church

1 Thessalonians 4: 1-7--- Furthermore then we beseech you, brethren, and exhort you by the Lord Jesus, that as ye ought to walk and to please God, so ye would abound more and more.
For ye know what commandments we gave you by the Lord Jesus.
For this is the will of God, even your sanctification that ye should abstain from fornication:
That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honor;
Not in the lust of concupiscence, even as the Gentiles which know not God:
That no man go beyond and defraud his brother in any matter: because that the Lord is the avenger of all such, as we also have forewarned you and testified.
FOR GOD HATH NOT CALLED US UNTO UNCLEANNESS, BUT UNTO HOLINESS

TITUS 3:2-3---- speak evil of no man, be no brawlers, but be gentle, showing all meekness unto all men. For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.
BUT AFTER THAT THE KINDNESS AND LOVE OF GOD OUR SAVIOUR TOWARD MAN APPEARED, NOT BY WORKS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS WHICH WE HAVE DONE, BUT ACCORDING TO HIS MERCY HE SAVED US, BY THE WASHING OF REGENRATION, AND RENEWING OF THE HOLY GHOST; WHICH HE SHED ON US ABUNDANTLY THROUGH JESUS CHRIST OUR SAVIOUR

It is not surprising to see these acts in the world around us, in politics, you can actually see the politicians lying through their teeth with a NOT SO STRAIGHT FACE!
At work, bosses, subordinates and co-workers lie everyday and at every given opportunity, on the job and even to one another for various reasons, sometimes without a reason, only for the sake of asserting that they are SMARTER AND FASTER than others
Children are not left out, a child by study is known to say NO before Yes, the children lie to parents and to each other with reckless abandon, I would say because they have no good example from parents and adults around them.
They see lies on the television, hear falsities on the radio, see their parents lie in order to cover their tracks among family, friends and colleagues, see teachers formulate lies at school against a student they do not like or have a bone to pick with, they hear co- students boast and create falsehood in order to belong to the in-crowd at school and also to appear COOL!
Law enforcement workers are not left out, a web of lies can be woven around someone that gets into the trap of these ones and the saying is that one of them is counted as two civilians before the law, so who can deliver except the Lord Jesus Himself

The society of today can be confusing to the RIGHTEOUS AT HEART who does not have a firm stand and who like the man in Jesus’ parable, built his house on sandy ground, when the storms and strong winds came, this house was destroyed without much effort; because he sees that people seem to prefer a lie above the truth, he decides to join them since he could not beat them.
Officially those who know how to weave a good yarn of lies always seem to get what they want faster but when the righteous man says it as it is, he is doubted and queried and sometimes even refused for SAYING THE TRUTH because they say it sounds like a pack of lies!

THERE IS A SAYING--- TELL THAT TO THE MARINES! i wonder where it came from and the origin.

It is important to be grounded in the WORD of God to be firmly rooted and so as not to be tossed about by every wind of doctrine
Psalm 119:11 says that thy word have I hidden in my heart that I might not sin against you

Jesus has not promised us a smooth ride in this world nor has he promised that the bed will always smell of roses in this work for Him, he actually told us that we shall be persecuted for His name sake but he has given us victory.

Are you bold enough to take a stand for Him and take a chance with Him?

Are you willing to join the bandwagon of those who henceforth stand for the truth in all your doings and interactions making up your mind like Esther did “IF I PERISH, I PERISH!”
YOU MUST BE WILLING TO CONFESS PSALM 51: 10---- Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.

MAY GOD HELP US ALL IN JESUS MIGHTY NAME, AMEN.
