As the night falls , They silently come out from their hidden places. Frightened and hungry roaming the streets. Passing by them we notice the way the street lights hit their faces. We see their eyes. We see their pain. One is limping, one has a wound covered with flies. There is a thought that quickly comes to mind. Then we battle with should I help it or should I not. I havn't the time. Quickly we pass on by in hopes to forget that the cats and dogs we see were once someones pet. They cry in despair and continue to strive. They are like you and I. They have a right to live and be loved. They are victims . See their eyes;feel their pain . They have been crying , but their tears are invisible.
