Over the waters You hovered in the dawn of time
One with the Father in creation sublime.
And it was so good
When the darkness was separated from the light
Spirit of the first day
Spirit of the night.
And You will not contend with man forever
The Father Soverign chooses whom He will
That You should shine upon
His light to carry on.
This bride has trimmed her lamp for You to fill.
Over my hoplessness You hovered to draw me in
Sent by God's mercy to bring me back to Him
And it was so good
My dark soul set apart as I believed
Sweet Spirit of Wisdom
Burning bright in me.
Over the Son of Man and
On the Son of God like a dove
You came down from the heavens - descent of love
And it was so good
When the Lamb of God layed down His life for me
Rose up again to send Thee, Spirit
Unto me.
Over the betrothed and in this temple rest your Grace,
Adorn, anoint this body a worthy dwelling place.
And It will be so good
When, with the bride, and him who hears You say To "come"
I await my True Love, Spirit
Bring me to the Son.
