[SILENCE.]

[SMILE.]
"How COME, Lord?
Why not ME?"
[PATIENT SMILE.]
"What does Your doorkeeper DO,
anyhow?"
"This is a Mystery, My child."
"Aw! Come ON!
YOU know!
I'd be better at it,
than ANYBODY!
You KNOW it, Lord!"
"Tell Me why, child."
"Eh........eh, 'cuz, I
just KNOW, Lord!
I could keep a DOOR!
You KNOW I could
DO it!"
[LAUGH.]
"Yes, child.
Yes."
"Well, except for the
cats, Lord. We'd have
to figure out somethin'."
"Yes, My child."
"Why do they
do that, Lord?"
"Because I said so,
child."
"I guess before
I come up There,
I'll have to stop
at Sams. It's
the only place
where you can find
those real big
bottles of Pine Sol."
[SOLEMN NOD.]
"Now, REMEMBER, Lord!
I don't want ANY other
JOB! NOBODY else
gets that, but ME."
[PATIENT NOD.]
"Yes, My precious."
(thoughtful silence)
"Lord?"
"What is it, My child?"
"How many doors do
You HAVE, anyway?"
"Several."
"Well, I guess I
could be the TEAM leader
of the keeper
of the doors, then."
[NOD.]
"And, we'd have to have
a door meeting, every morning."
[SOLEMN NOD.]
"What should the first thing
be on our agenda, Lord?"
"Me, child.
Me."

in Thy courts
