Another year has just begun
Sunshiny but oh, so cold;
and every day I have to decide
which one will fit my mold
I could concentrate on the chill,
and choose to freeze all day,
but I could also pick the sun,
and the warmth that it displays
The choice is easy, for I want
the warmth much more than not
and feeling the sunshine on my face,
is a memory not to be forgot!
I am so grateful that Jesus chose
to hear my cry that day,
and came and rescued me from my cold,
transforming me in every way
When that was done, I'd been made new
and He filled my with things beautiful and true,
and when the time was exactly right
He chose to give me you!
Now every day I get to choose
which prayers I'll send to God above
praise and thanks are the first ones,
He gave me you, and you brought me love!
What a joy each day is now,
when I awake to each morning new
and I always feel the sun on my face,
I have it all, because I LOVE YOU!!
