Winter is finally definitely here;
today's the coldest day of the year,
that's only three days old.
I keep hoping winter would just pass by
and not give us even a half-hearted try,
but that was not to be.
Every day brings me closer to spring
when days will be warm and the birds will sing
seems so far off now.
Even though it is cold outside
in this snug little house I can hide,
and wait for warmer days.
In this house summer is always true,
for it is lit with love so true,
you are here with me.
The joy that fills me each new morn
the wonder of discoveries yet to be born
bloom like flowers from heaven.
I will revel in the warmth in here,
living so blessed with all I hold dear,
and say that I LOVE YOU!
I thank God when morning's sunlight glows
and last thing at night to Him I go
what joy you bring to me.
God took me and gave me to you,
and blessed us both with love so true,
and oh! how I LOVE YOU!!!
