A brand new day, a brand new year,
I look out at the sun shining bright,
and know that in each coming day,
I will have joy, and peace, and delight!
That is the gift that God gave me,
when He became my King;
my heart's desire He said would be,
to my side would that He bring
I waited not so patiently,
His plan was different than mine,
But when I gave my will to Him,
then my life began to shine!
He gave me back joy, He gave me peace,
He gave me a love so true,
that all I can do from this day on
is thank Him so much for YOU!
The very first day that we met,
my heart, oh yes, it just knew,
that I would be yours forever,
and forever would I LOVE YOU!!
Each day now is like a beautiful gift,
wrapped up and just bursting with "new"!
and I can't wait to tell you again
how very much I LOVE YOU!!
