Many people have no peace in their mind
Because of the thoughts that they do allow
Their mind is full of things against the knowledge of God
And to the lies of the enemy they do bow
We are told to cast down the imaginations
That from the knowledge of God they are against
An imagination is just a thought in our mind
That is a lie of the enemy to which we became convinced
The mind is the place of decision
Whether to chose a truth or lie
So how can we walk victoriously
When God’s Word of truth we deny
The body does not act independent
It does what the mind tells it too do
The flesh cannot be in control
If the mind is filled with what is true
The mind should only listen
To our spirit from deep within
Our spirit receives from the Holy Spirit
Words which will cause us to win
An evil spirit will attack our mind
And try to get us to accept his lie
If we entertain his thought and act
Then in some way he will cause us to die
Our mind is the battlefield
This where the enemy will attack
If he can get you to believe his lie
Then in that area you will then lack
God told us on what to think
So a blueprint of right thinking He did give
If we will just apply what He did say
Then we will find peace and live
Until we read God’s Word
Then the truth we will not know
We can never expect to find new peace
We can never expect in Jesus to grow
If we were to ask many people this question
God’s Word, have you read?
We would find that many have no foundation of truth
So no wonder the enemy plays with their head
The only way to know what thoughts to think
Is to get into God’s Word and read
You cannot recognize a lie for a lie
Unless God’s truth you heed
Our walk is not victorious
When walked in the vanity of our mind
Feelings and emotions many times we must ignore
If we are to walk in God’s power divine
The spirit bears witness to truth
So a lie from truth we should differentiate
If we will just listen to our spirit
Then we will gain Heaven’s fate
A lie will take us to the right and left
Our path will never be straight
The truth will takes us the straight and narrow way
That will only lead us to Heaven’s gate
The battle of the mind is very real
So determined we must be
To allow the thoughts that tend to life
If we are to defeat our enemy
If we can win the battle of our mind
We will find a new life of victory
We will be able to enter in to all God has
And be as Jesus and set the captives free.
