Pastor Benny Young, along with his staff, were bunched up together in Benny's small office at the Community Church.

"An angel?"

Benny looked at his three friends, suddenly aware of how silly it all sounded.

Gil responded first. "You been in the sauce, Pastor?"

Fred wanted to play. "Yeah," he laughed. "Maybe you need to get back on the wagon, huh?"

Gil. "Our preacher, seein' things. What will the church have to say about this?"

Fred bowed his head as he let out a little sniffle. "He was the best preacher we ever had..."

Gil finished the statement. "...until the bottle got the best of him..."

"...and he started talking to angels..."

At this point they both broke out laughing. Hard, bellowing laughter.

Pastor Benny turned red in the cheeks.

Chuck decided the the Pastor had suffered enough. "Alright, alright." He looked at Benny. "Pastor, you know we believe you. The guys are just raggin' on you is all." He turned to Gil and Fred. "Right, fellas?"

Fred couldn't let it go. "Oh yeah, right." He leaned in toward Benny and whispered as he looked around the room. "Tell me, Pastor. Is he here...now?"

Benny decided two could play. He leaned in even closer to Fred as he whispered. "Yeah. He's right behind you."

Gil couldn't pass up the opportunity. He quickly and quietly got right behind Fred, right up in his ear, and yelled. "Boo!"

Fred about jumped two feet high, and Benny, Chuck, and Gil all burst out laughing.

When they'd all had their share of fun at Fred's expense, they settled down. Finally, it was Chuck who spoke. "Alright then, Pastor. This angel of yours..."

"Max."

"Okay, Max. He said something about all of us?"

Gil and Fred listened intently. Fred spoke. "What'd he say, Pastor?"

Pastor Benny Young looked at his friends intently. "He said that He had an assignment for us."

Gil lit up. "For all of us?"

Benny quietly nodded his head.

Fred. "So what are we supposed to do?"

Chuck looked at each one in the group before speaking.

"We wait."
