What is true justice? A simplistic definition is that justice equals fairness.
However, the justice of God involves much more than just being fair.
God's court of justice is sovereign. His justice is kind, and it can also be severe.
We, God's people need to accept both verdicts from our Father, Lord and Judge.
So many Christians and non-Christians are being lulled into sleep by a fairytale mentality concerning God's justice.
They are being taught by some that God would not judge a fly. They are taught all types of doctrines that are of demons and that are man-made in reference to God's justice and His methods in dealing with human beings. Many of these doctrines could lead people to the slaughter in the end.
We need to understand the real character of God in order to be free from deception.
God's Word, The Bible, is replete with His justice which is totally fair, but it also produces a just system of rewards and punishments.
GOD LOOKS AT OUR HEARTS (OUR MOTIVATIONS):
Pro 21:2 Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the LORD pondereth the hearts.
Pro 21:3 To do justice and judgment is more acceptable to the LORD than sacrifice.
GOD'S REWARDS ARE WONDERFUL!
James 1:12, Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love Him.
GOD'S PUNISHMENT IS SEVERE:
2Th 1:6 Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you;
2Th 1:7 And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with His mighty angels,
2Th 1:8 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
God is a God of love, and justice, but He is also a God of total righteousness. He not only punishes those that do not know Him, but He also punishes those who do not obey The Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Our justice systems are allegedly fair and just, but they are outrageously flawed. In fact, the world system will eventually be used to punish the innocent and to reward the guilty. The enemy's system is diametrically opposed to God's system of justice.
One of the many Scriptures that describes the justice of God is Gal. 6:7, Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
In The Old Testament, Deut. 28 tells us exactly what will happen to those in that day that obeyed God, and exactly what would happen to those who did not obey God.
However, many times in today's churches and ministries, we are being taught that we are under grace, and so we are not under the law. That is true, but under grace; Jesus in Matthew 5, gives us much higher commandments. Under grace; we have the blood of Jesus Christ and The cross to go to for help in following all of The Lord's commandments. He gives us the grace to obey.
In The New Testament, we are told that hatred is the same as murder. We are told by The Lord that having lust in our hearts is the same as committing adultery or fornication, and the commandments of our Lord Jesus Christ are very precisely stated in The Gospels and the whole New Testament.
We are no longer allowed to fight with our enemies in the physical realm, but we are now required to love our enemies, do good to them, pray for them and bless them. Our battle now is with the powers of Satan, and our warfare is spiritual. The Lord Jesus has provided all the weapons for us that we need to have the victory in this life, and overcome all of the works of the devil.
Some people ask, "Why does God allow bad things to happen to good people?" They do not understand the justice of God, and His purposes. His ways are so much higher than our ways.
God allowed Job, Joseph, Daniel, Paul, Silas and countless other righteous men and women of God to suffer much persecution, and He allows these things to happen because He is in turn working them all together for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His glorious purposes (Ro. 8:28).
God is building His church, and the lively stones have to go through some fire and some molding before they can all fit together properly. These lively stones need to be matured and processed so that they will be strong enough to endure great pressure and stress.
Jesus warned His people that they would be hated and suffer tribulation and persecution, but He also told us to be of good cheer, because He had overcome the world.
The Lord uses what the enemy throws at us to teach us lessons that we could never learn any other way. He does not allow anything that we cannot bear. He purified His first church, and He will be maturing, purifying and molding His last day church, and it will be glorious and the gates of hell will not prevail against it.
GOD IS GOING TO JUDGE THE WORLD WITH JUSTICE BY JESUS CHRIST:
29 Therefore since we are God's offspring, we should not think that the divine being is like gold or silver or stone—an image made by man's design and skill. 30 In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now He commands all people everywhere to repent. 31 For He has set a day when He will judge the world with justice by the man He has appointed. He has given proof of this to all men by raising Him from the dead.
All in all, we can totally put our trust, hope and faith in the justice of almighty God. He wants the very best for each and every one of His beloved saints.
We can enter into His rest knowing that He is all-powerful, all-knowing and omnipresent, and He is the great and glorious God of perfect justice.
