We all have heard the saying “ If it’s free, it’s for me” or “ If it’s free, give it to me”. I have said it myself a few times. Let’s face it, everyone likes free stuff whether you want to admit it or not. We get all kinds of things, from little things that probably just get lost around the house later, to bigger things. Whatever we can get we will take. After all, the best things in life are free aren’t they? Like the air we breathe, faith, hope, and love. Why is it then that when given the opportunity to receive another free gift, so many people refuse it or don’t want to accept it?
What gift am I talking about? I am talking about the free gift of Salvation that God has offered to each and every one of us. So many people will take everything else (which matters nothing), but refuse God’s gift (which matters everything).
Salvation is free!! God puts no price tag on the gift of gifts. Money can’t buy it; man’s righteousness can’t earn it. We have all seen those commercials where they show how much a couple things cost and then at the end they show one thing that is “priceless” The gift of Salvation is priceless, we didn’t earn it and don’t deserve it but God has offered it to us anyways.
Romans 5:8 says “ But God demonstrated his own love toward us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us” and in Romans 10:8 it says “ The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
Don’t you think it’s time you accept this free gift!! Jesus Christ died on that cross for each and every one of us, he paid the price for all of our sins. What a gift that was! He does not want anything in return but for us to except another free gift from him, The free gift of Salvation, and to have a relationship with him.
Except this free gift God has offered you today!! Start a new life filled with hope, happiness and forgiveness. The bible says your name will be written in the Lambs book of Life and you can look forward to living forever with God in heaven. What are you waiting for, except it Today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
