Serve God In Your Youth
SERVE GOD IN YOUR YOUTH
Some say God’s word is obsolete,
But all of His scriptures bear repeat,
On how to stay focused and remain pure,
When under trials you’ll be sure to endure.
Put on the complete suit of armor; don’t leave out a part,
Cause Satan will have entry to pierce you with darts,
He’ll place fleshly desires all in your head,
Replace them with Godly devotion instead.
The “Father of the Lie” will tell you false stories,
So you can’t give God all the honor and glory,
He will tell you that it is not really a sin,
To commit fornication, cause its not against men.
Two “consenting” adults, it’s not like you steal,
Hurry to badness, blaspheme or kill,
It’s “not that bad” you rationalize,
But you are looking through the world’s rose-colored eyes.
Do you not know what Almighty God has said?
Recall to mind what you have read,
When desires become fertile, they give birth to sin,
Death is the imminent result in the end.
Always meditate on things chaste and true,
Work on displaying the spirit of the fruits,
Be not transformed by this world and its ways,
Stand firm on God’s side and you’ll live many days,
Don’t let anyone look down or thumb their nose at your youth,
As you continue to serve God in spirit and truth!
