Alan,
I never hunted Easter eggs,
or bought jelly beans for you
I never got to hear the songs
you learned in sunday school.
I never got to pick out,
your little three piece suit
or help you put the polish
on your first pair of cowboy boots.
I never got to measure you,
against the kitchen wall
never got to go to your first game
or see you pitch a ball.
I never got to say your prayers,
or make you tow the line
I never got to dry your tears
or tell you everything was fine.
But ............... i'm a happy camper,
because wer'e together now
i'll have the chance to share with you
God will tell me how.
So .................. you have a happy Easter,
remember what the day's about
tell Kasey, Kaylei, and Jacie,
He went into the tomb
but, came out.
Your the Dad,
the one that must tell them
that Jesus died for their sins
so that when they stand before the Heavenly Gate
" The Father Will Welcome Them In "
I never got to tell you,
had to trust that someone else would
please, don't wait til it's too late,
to wish that you still could.
ITALY, Your Mom, Irene*
