God, Bless Him
God, bless him in the morning,
even before he opens his eyes.
And let him know in his heart
that You’ve heard his every cry.
God, bless him in the noonday,
when the world rushes by him so fast.
And give him a glimpse of You
and how You held him through the past.
God, bless him when he lays down
and whisper mysteries in his ear,
mysteries of love and grace,
and wipe away every tear.
God, bless him all the day long
and while he’s sleeping throughout the night.
All these things I pray You’ll do,
not by strength, nor power, nor might,
but by Your Spirit. Bless him.
Increase his faith and fulfill his dreams.
Let him know, when times get tough,
not all things are the way they seem.
