In a Jewish Temple
There burns a quiet light
Ancient sign and symbol
A mystery burns bright
God's Lamp, man's Light,
Images of divine promise
Began with a Tree of Life
Eternal covenant sung by psalmist
An olive tree,
endured persecution
A symbol of prophecy
Dependent on God's provision
Holy Servant came
To the Jewish nation
Souls of Israel in the Seven flames
Bringing gentiles God's illumination
Be a witness, declares the Lord,
I am He, before Me, no other god known,
My Servant Israel, chosen, so you would know,
No god after Me, I Am the Eternal God, Alone
Chosen people to raise God's Fire
A means to an end within Himself
by a God who never tires
Entrusts us to His treasure and wealth
3,500 years God has shown His patience
in revelation to the Gentiles
passing the Light through the generations
in revealing His glory through Israel
The Holy Spirits steady light remains
this vision is not by might, nor by power,
As the Word of the Lord proclaims
but by My Spirit, says the Lord this hour.
