Dear Friends, I would love your input on this song. Please tell me honestly if you feel I should pursue completing it by having someone write the music. The words came to me so smoothly that I feel God wants me to do something with it, but I'm not quite sure what. My musical talent consists of applauding well so I would need to look elsewhere for the music. But, here's the first step...please take a look and see what you think. Thank you and God bless you!
Chorus:
We’re gonna have pain, we’re gonna have sorrow
But we’ve got the promise of a great tomorrow!
When we take Jesus into our hearts
His forgiveness flows, our salvation starts!
We may be Christians but we are real
With hearts that break and love and feel.
At times, we sin and avoid God’s call
But He gave us something to break our fall.
Chorus
Jesus is our Savior, our Safety Net
He loves us all and He won’t forget
The mission God gave Him, a special role -
To catch us when we fall and repair our souls.
Chorus
Still, we will struggle and have our pain
We’ll slip backward again and again.
But, we’ll never be alone in all this strife
For we’ll have Jesus and eternal life.
Chorus

How ironic that this is the first time I've seen this song. I'm going to have pain but Jesus is my safety net. These words are such a comfort to me, as you are. I can't wait to hear the song in its completion. You are such a blessing to me.
Oh, it would sure be wonderful to hear this on public radio!! Its message has such HEALING in it for our souls! So many times the trials of life get to be overbearring and it's always good to be reminded in such times that God will not leave us in the mess... that we have the promise of a future and a hope in Him. It's not just a song... it's a BALM. (Is it obvious that I am even further behind with my "faithwriters" folder than I have been with my regular inbox lately? I am working hard to catch up. Prayerfully, I will NEVER get so far behind again. It is truly overwhelming.)
Wow, it's like I was singing it myself sister Peggy.Thank you for this touching song, I encourage you to go a head and put it into music. We have a great future, you were right.God bless you and keep up the good work.Love sent, Justus

Peggy, this song/poem really touched my heart and soothed some of the ache I have over the loss of our dear Rocky-dog. I definately think that you should put this to music. I am not much of a musician - in fact, not at all - but it seemed to me that "Negro Spiritual"-type music would really make this song zing....And now, I would like to give you a special thanks for commenting on my "Farewell to a Faithful Friend" poem. It brought tears to my eyes...I have added you to my list of "trackers", but may not get to every piece you write...God bless you...Helen

This is absolutely beautiful Peggy. I think it would be wonderful if you could get your son Will to write the music for it. What a treasure, I love you, Sharon
Wow! You know Sis. Peggy, honestly, if only I know how to put music into this beautiful song lyrics, I will! And I will sing it too. I'm humming it right now because I can relate to the message. Love, Gloria
