We must keep our eyes on Christ,
And just why He was sacrificed;
For He makes our faith complete,
Ensuring that sin we defeat.
It is true that we do proclaim,
Of Him in enduring the shame;
Being nailed naked to a cross,
As His garments the soldiers toss.
He knew later He would be glad,
Changing to joy from once was sad;
Jesus is no longer alone,
Sitting on the right of God's throne.
So on Jesus to keep your mind,
While being gentle and kind;
Open up the flow from the Lord,
Living through Him in one accord.
Remember there will be a day,
Jesus Christ will return and stay;
For those who walk the direct path,
So they can be spared from the wrath.
