The deep satisfied sigh that filled my heart was not one of thanks for the crisp aroma of my own living space, nor was it for the comfort of my own bed, it wasn’t even for the large brown eyes and wiggling furry body waiting for strokes of love … it was for the noise.
Family noise.
The pounding of the keyboard in my daughter’s room as she cyber chat while carrying on a conversation with another friend on her phone …
The cheers from the living room for a touchdown of a totally boring game (if The University of Florida aren’t playing, then forget it) …
The drone of my favorite Historical Korean Drama (with subtitles) as I rest in the peace of this noisy home … my home …
Thank You God for the gift of this harmonious melody of ‘noise.’
Very nice write. This kind of noise is a reminder that you have a happy family, that you are blessed with a home, family and things for your entertainment such as the television and computer.
Such a gentle reminder to be thankful for the simple things and those we love and hold dear. Praise God for our families and loved ones and for those who give us gentle reminders, like you.:0) Hugs, God bless you. I sure appreciate and enjoy each piece you write hon. Janice
