Let me tell you about
What God did one day
It sure changed my view
Of the power that comes, when we pray
I was in sales long ago
And to an appointment
To which, I did go
I entered this house
And saw the lady there
Her ankle was swollen
It was as big as a bear
She said that she hadn’t put on her shoe
Nor could walk for three days
She just had to sit
Or in bed, lay
All the sudden
Out of my mouth
Came these words
I knew nothing about
I said would you like me to pray for your ankle?
Of course, she had to say yes
I said well, let’s just go on
With the sale process
She purchased what I had to sell
And I was happy as could be
I had forgot about the prayer idea
Conveniently (I had no clue what to do)
So I grabbed hold of the doorknob
And thought I was going to leave
But once again the Holy Spirit
Seemed to get a hold of me
As once again out of my mouth
Came these words again
Oh you wanted me to pray for your ankle
As I thought, Lord, I just can’t win
I said Lord, I have no idea what to pray
I don’t even know if this I believe
But if you tell me what to do
I will be obedient and follow your lead
All the sudden in my spirit, a scripture came
And I knew just what to do
I asked her permission
She said do, What the Lord wants you to do
I laid my hands upon her knee
Per the Holy Spirit’s request
I then prayed what He said
What we saw was hard to believe, I must confess
She said that the power of God came upon her
And her leg caught on fire, when I touched her knee
I wish that you had been there
To experience what we did see
The swelling in her ankle
Much to our surprise
Completely vanished
Right before our eyes
My mouth dropped opened
As what could I say?
We had witnessed a miracle
That God did that day.
